Earn $5 for 5 Reviews (Up to $100!)

Diposting oleh ahmad Sabtu, 27 Agustus 2011 0 komentar

If you’re looking to make some extra moolah from the things you’ve been buying, why don’t you head on over to Shopping.com.au and start reviewing stuff? They’re currently running their $5 for 5 Promo, wherein you can review 5 products that are available on their site and you’ll get paid $5. The money is payable via Paypal. And, the promotion ends on the 30th of June 2010. Make Money Writing Reviews
They have also shared a guide on how to write a review on their site, if you need a bit of help. But, it looks pretty straightforward. Check out the list of products that they wished to be reviewed. I’m not sure if you’re allowed to review anything else that’s not on that list.
Also, unfortunately, I can’t seem to find any information on who can join the promotion. Since this is an Australia-based shopping site, I’m not sure if reviewers can come from anywhere in the world*. And, since I haven’t personally joined the promotion, I’m not certain how it all works out.
I would’ve loved to be able to do a full report on the promo, but I don’t have the time to investigate it fully. I would’ve normally skipped writing about it because of that. But, in case it’s legit, I don’t want any of you to miss out. So, if you’re interested, check it out. They have also put an email address for questions, if you have any.
Good luck and do let me know if you give it a go.
UPDATE:
*“Qualifying Reviewers” for the purpose of this Promotion must:
a) be Australian residents of 18 years or over, who are registered users of Shopping.com; and
b) have or create a valid Australian PayPal account prior to the time at which the prizes for this Promotion are distributed.
Thanks, Lara Kulpa, for the update!

Mozilla Seabird is what would be the phone of the future. As there would be more and more features in the phone, and it will also use the spaces around to make it more productive.

The mobile phone Seabird takes the objects around us, to project touch devices in air . Billy May is the one who designed this mobile phone. The external design is similar to any other Phone market , however , his concept of projection(dual projection on different side) and using it, is interesting.
We can project these images on a wall, like a screen on the opposite side as a keyboard on our table or desk , and a mouse or mouse, based on a Bluetooth.

What could be better than a tablet? As two tablets. That’s the basic idea that make the Iconium differ. Iconium is a hybrid between tablet and laptop that is absent from exact specifications and features Windows 7 operating system. The new laptop from Acer has been presented with tablets with Android but it certainly has been the most notable new feature to be the first notebook with dual touch screen and virtual keyboard with Windows 7 operating system so that compatibility with existing applications is complete, you may also have up to 640 GB disk storage A Intel Core i5 and 4GB of RAM, Webcam, Bluetooth, 3 USB ports … more or less the performance of a regular notebook computer but with a completely different look.
Lets wait and watch for more details to come out.

As we know mobile phones with 2 SIM Card slots are common these days, but now we can have a 3 Sim Cards slot mobile , Called Trio manufactured by Akai.

While the phone has up to 3 sim slot, the only interesting thing is, talking about features that only has a 2-inch screen, camera 1, 3 MP, FM radio, Bluetooth and a slot for memory card.
But if you’re a business person … or just someone who wants phone with 3 sim this phone is spectacular, because it has great value in quality and price  costs only about $ 73 .

Disadvantages of 3G

Diposting oleh ahmad 0 komentar

Third-generation, or 3G, it is wireless network technology that is commonly utilized in famous smart phones like iPhones and Blackberry. While its baby, second-generation (2G) technology, was formulated around for just voice applications (like talking, call-waiting and mails), 3G technology puts a strong emphasis on the Internet and the multimedia services, such as high speed web browsing, video conferencing and downloading music in a tremendous speed. And while there are so many advantages to 3G, the technology also comes with its big disadvantages too.
Advantages and Disadvantages of 3G
High Speed and High Bandwidth Usage
High bandwidth when compared to 2G – the measure of the transmission capacity – is one of the selling points of 3G. This allows you to quickly and easily access all of your favorite online multimedia and Internet tools, just like you were sitting at the front of your home computer. You can pay bills on the spot, update social networking status and check your e-mails, all on the go.
Always-Online Devices
Another advantage of the 3G technology is that it can utilize the packet-based Internet protocol connectivity of your device. This means that your mobile device will always be set to be online and will be ready for on the click Internet access. However, you will not pay for the connection until you start sending or receiving packet data, such as sending an email or looking at a web page on the peek.
Associated and High Costs
To support the 3rd generation technology, updates need to be made to the current cellular infrastructure so the 3g can be enabled on the mobile phone. According to 3G Internet, this means installing a new 3G equipment at every current cellular base station and acquiring some new frequencies for enabling 3G transmissions. 3G is very costly but worth it’s price due to it’s stability to work very fast.
Power Requirements
In addition to being more and more expensive, 3G handsets also requires so much power than most of the 2G models. According to Silicon Press(a Gadget Guide) , this extra power requirement can lead to translation to larger batteries, shortage of usage periods between recharging and more heavy handsets overall.

What comes next in the design of cameras? Here is the answer from the designers Artefact, Who created this concept called WVIL – Wireless Viewfinder Interchangeable Lens or The camera tablet
This is a camera that combines the capabilities of current smartphones or a tablet with optics of SLR cameras with interchangeable lenses. The idea is good and hopefully we can see a product like this in the near future as a real product.
The patent-pending WVIL system takes the connectivity and application platform capabilities of today’s smart phones and wirelessly connects them with interchangeable full SLR-quality optics. It is the inevitable solution for photographers who expect the power of modern mobile devices but who also demand uncompromised quality.

The email is the most widely used form of communication on the Internet. Although social networks are slowly becoming a meeting point for users and companies. At that point we must also indicates that in case of writing an email , often associate the email with a long paragraph or a letter with hundreds of words.

Shortmail aims to bring together the best of Twitter (speed) with the best of email (length). The maximum length of Shortmail to send an e-mail is 500 characters and the way of presenting is a mix between Gmail and private messages from Twitter . You can signup this service with your twitter account allowing it once to use you twitter account details.
With Shortmail can see on the left side of the screen all the mail we sent grouped by person, and right hand,  we can see all email conversation, perfectly arranged and located with a glance.
I just claimed jayadrathsingh at http://shortmail.com. Claim your name now. Fast Company calls #shortmail “Twitter for Email!”

Shortmail can be used on any mobile phone or device that supports IMAP, SMTP or POP3 so, using the best email , we have the immediacy and simplicity of a social network like Twitter.
Another feature of Shortmail the e-mails can be public so incorporating that feature of social networks, we have a little “debate” open email and we will not fall short of the 140 characters of the social network Twitter . You can also import your Twitter and Gmail Contacts to short mail to stay in touch with your contacts.

It is an excellent web application that lets you display photos from your Facebook account in a different, more pleasing to the eye as it is an application dedicated solely to see all the pictures of the users you select and see them on one page without having to click to move to the next.
If you want to see photos of particular friend just select it from the list. you can even like and comment on the photos without leaving the page.
It’s a fairly simple application, so it’s not complicated to use, just give permission to start with your account and immediately you will have the list of friends to start to see photos.

I have talked about many services on Technotips but today I am going to introduce you to a service called General-Files.com a smart search engine to search everything for your all types of  needs . Already more than 175 million of files are available through the General Files and more than 12 million videos download free games are presented to you via the General Video! General-Files.com is the best place to find and share files for free.

Create Alert for Files when available for free downloading based on keywords and get updates in  your mail every 12 hours. The service will automatically check the database and alert you for the available files also you can setup the deadline for the alert.
General-Files.com is planning a lot of things to implement. As they are planning to increase the social networking capability and pay special attention to community-related options and features. As part of this trend they will soon make a so called “idea box” to make it easier for users to tell them what they want to see on their websites and request special options and features. Another step toward creating social awareness and social networking is the bonus system. It will be a  of a kind of internal game: the more active you are, the more bonuses you earn to spend later for some useful features.
The bonuses are called the G-points. You can see your G-points in the right menu, near your avatar. And in the left menu you can see the history of your “earnings”.
  • you can use the G-points to reduce the number of times when you need to enter the captcha .
  • You can also pay with the G-points for a special search option called the Deep Search, it’s a search among closed and hidden parts of the forums.
  • Another option which you can use in exchange for the G-points is the Priority Search.
  • And the no-banners option in your profile without taking any G-points from your balance.

The Social Network, Especially those that are not using it, have an enormous advantage: you need not “return the favor”, the expansion is huge and not up to you (at least not directly) that anyone can see or not see your message . Twitter is one such network in which only a follower can add to your timeline a person who has common interests with you, regardless of whether it follow you or not.
The biggest difficulty for a follower is sometimes the language. You do not follow someone when you do not understand what he writes. In addition, the recent disaster occurred in Japan, it is interesting that the network becomes something neutral that we can all understand in order to help. The solution was, instant translation of twits.
Twitter developer Poon Chi created application to translate tweets into multiple languages ??simultaneously our messages on the Twitter network. It relies on API of the popular translator by Google, Google Translator lets it to convert instantly into all languages ??we need just by adding at the end # language (# is, # in …).
Once you’ve linked your Twitter account to the app, you just need to add the relevant hashtag for the language you want to translate into at the end of your tweet. 58 languages are supported and you can even add multiple hashtags to produce tweets in a number of languages at once.
Found a small bug in this application, and that the details or answers to other users (typical @ username) has separated the “@” from “username” so those are not translations but only receive the original message in the original language.
Surely it is an excellent application that I have already linked to my account if, at some point, I have to translate any of my messages and I hope that small faults will be removed in later versions of application will be complete in few time.

Thursday Google presented Google Wallet, Its new payment system via mobile phone, based on NFC technology, A system that, if successful, allowed to perform payments via mobile and that, therefore, saves us having to carry credit cards because we can do the same through our phone. The concept of payment via mobile is not new, in fact, there was something that had always been announced in Japan, never came out.
The day after the presentation of Google Wallet, eBay and PayPal sued Google for using this system because, among the team behind the Google Wallet, are two executives of these companies they accuse of stealing trade secrets to develop this product. Whether true or not Google Wallet is all a financial revolution that is going to change the habits of users and if the change is accepted then, you can assume a turning point in our habits.
Of course, any “revolution” needs a breeding ground and as such, for this new payment system needed to be successful three main factors are: deployment, support and ease of use.
  • The deployment is given by the businesses that implement this payment system. Currently, this system is being tested in the United States and, initially, big chains like Macy’s or Subway will participate in the pilot program will be supported by financial institutions such as Citi or Master Card. But then, once passed the testing phase, the larger the number of stores that support this type of payments the greater the likelihood that permeates users and, of course, this deployment will depend mainly on costs to be borne by merchants for each transaction.
  • Currently only the Samsung Nexus S 4G supports this service but, of course, this is not the best way to popularize this payment model, it is seek a greater number of terminals and platforms that support it. Fortunately, do not need to change mobile to use this service but, over time, should be a device with NFC support to maximize the full potential of service. Google hopes that the other platforms include support for NFC, as this is included by the manufacturers of devices, which themselves serve to extend the service much. IPhone is expected to include support for NFC 5 as expected in Windows Phone Mango, Which declined in presentation but is expected to include as an update later. Anyway, not expected that NFC technology is somewhat extended, globally, through 2014 and until then, it is estimated that next year only 15% of the new devices include it so that the penetration of this payment system will be slow.
  • With respect to ease of use, at a glance does not seem to be anything complicated to use But despite its ease, users and traders seek certain guarantees on the security of transactions made, something that the service guarantees. This new model, at least, offers a much faster transactions than the traditional credit card, but of little use if the ecosystem in which they can use Google Wallet is small.

One of the features provided by Google Wallet is the connection with bids Google Offers and the possibility of showing a map of the shops around us who have deals that also allow payment with this payment system. We all know that financial institutions collect data on our shopping habits, for example, offer certain financial products that ties with our banking transactions but if we translate this analysis into the world of Google and combined it with Google Offers, Lattitude and our purchases through Google Wallet, the amount of data about our habits that Google would be able to extract is enormous, in fact, a benefit far more interesting than the commissions that may be carried by each of the transactions made.
In any case, the idea is very interesting and, frankly, have enough potential to become a success but perhaps it is still too soon to be launched in a much more massive, indeed, possibly even have to spend a couple of years as we begin to see nearby shops which include such payments.

How Companies Can Benefit from Using VoIP?
VoIP: Voice over Internet Protocol. It is the communication system that has taken telephones to the next level and allowed for independence within the business world. It has made for a more efficient office functionality and offered a validity to a telecommuting workforce. At its essence, business VoIP is the Internet telephone that has helped to change the face of international commerce.
What is Business VoIP?
Simply put, VoIP is a system of communication possibility as well as technological potential that is offered through Internet telecommunications. Over the past several years, VoIP technology has led to what is now commonly referred to as “tele-presence,” allowing for conferences and important meetings to be enjoyed by business colleagues and associates the world over.
Business VoIP offers many benefits to employees, clientele, business operations and the ability to run a company remotely without having to rely on a public communications network for data switching. Consider some of the simple and revenue saving benefits of incorporating VoIP technology into a business setting.
Benefits of Using VoIP in Business
One of the most obvious benefits of using business VoIP technology is the Internet provided telecommunications. This results in no fees related to long distance calling. All calls are placed through the LAN, or Local Area Network, ultimately taking the costly nature of analog toll calling out of the mix. For companies who rely on phone communication domestically or internationally, this serves as an incredible, cost-effective benefit.
Beyond the toll bypasses, using VoIP technology also allows for wonderful access benefits to businesses who want to be more accessible to their customer base. For example, being able to offer a link on a website that connects directly to a call center makes for more rapid communication deployment, and in theory, a more satisfied customer base.
Additionally, business VoIP will allow things to run smoother within a traditional office environment. This is especially true for medium to large offices in which employees will enjoy promotions, or may switch departments or desks. With a VoIP set-up, this allows for easy transference of phone technology, as opposed to an entire reconfiguration of a PBX, which can result in the necessity of rewiring and unnecessary costs.
Using VoIP in Telecommuting and Through Mobile Technology
Beyond the use of a VoIP in a traditional office space, business VoIP can be applied to any number of business models, from legitimate work from home jobs to mobile VoIP technology that allows instant access to a business network during business travel.
For individuals in a telecommuting position, a VoIP phone can be used through a standard, high speed Internet connection, enabling a home office to be networked to a main office network. This allows for instant connection to co-workers, regardless of distance and the ability to run business lines directly to a household or home office.
This is an incredibly cost effective and efficient manner of growing a business within the information age. Depending on products or services offered, enjoying the connectivity of VoIP technology from satellite locations can allow for great functionality within business without the need of a large, central office location.
